Inspiration
Had quite a quick and nice lunch with my Cousin at Coffe Club, Holland V this afternoon and he got me thinking about my TO-DO List...suddenly felt quite inspired to pen down the tonnes of things i have (yet) to start acting on.
1) OSIM Mini Triathlon this July?
- Where can i borrow or rent a bike for the race?
- I Should start training for stamina in the pool, my swimming is really weak.
- Should i register for swimming classes?
- How should i start training?
- Who wants to do it with me?
2) Driving.
Have FINALLY found a TP number with someONE who actually pick up calls! Yipee. I'm rather eager to get this done as soon as possible! (since the boyfriend has been nagging me for ages about it). First thing first, i still have to go back to Jay Bee pesonally to get the official letter before i take my basic theory. Hey, I'm actually eligible to convert my license! So to whichever officer that consulted Kai Shan, saying she is not eligible to convert her license....bullll shit lah.
3) Update Resume.
Don't underestimate the effort you need to spend in updating your resume. One should do it constantly, you never know when you will need it. Well, im not doing so because i need it now, i'm just updating since i have more things to write! Good thing of course, i hope it comes in handy (soon).

Alright, other than inspiration on my TO-DO list, i got really touched by an article i read in the Sunday Times today. Guys, if you can get hold of the Sunday Times, do flip to the THINK section and the extract from the memoir which was written by the ex CEO of KPMG, Eugene O'Kelly before he unfortunately past away in 2005. Of course for those who are really interested, hard copies of the book - "Chasing Daylight: How My Forthcoming Death Transformed My Life by Eugene O'Kelly" can be found at all major book store. I'm not trying to advertise for the book here but i earnestly find his extract a touching read. I can feel tears welling up my eyes when i was mid way through the paragraphs.....
Also, i just caught the trailer of Eight Below. I'm a sucker for sad stories that are related to animals (especially dogs). I dont know why but i just feel a particular affection towards doggies. They are cute alright, but i remember i once told alvin that i won't want to keep a dog after much careful consideration because i know i will become too busy to take great great care of a dog and not to mention, taking it out for a walk twice a day! So instead of letting it suffer, i rather not keep a dog. :'( Between wanting to keep a dog and taking care of it are two very different aspects that one should think of prior to committing themselves in keeping a dog. I won't deny the joy a dog can bring to a household, it will gradually become part of the family and all...but who will end up doing the dirty job of cleaning its shit, promptly feeding it with healthy food, take it out for a walk twice, shower it with proper dog shampoo & conditioner, buy little treats for it, play with it etc. Writing all these just makes me feel pitiful......for my half-paralysed dog at home. Remember i posted a picture of Saucy in this blog....he is a sad story, i just cant bring myself to carry on.....sis, in case you are reading this and you have yet to hear about what happened to saucy, please call home. Sigh. AND also, i miss Xiao Hui. I guess these are part and parcel and consequences of keeping pets; learning how to give unconditional love and accepting the pending facts of death.

Remember there was also once i teared really hard after watching how KFC slaughtered their chickens and how Macdonalds treat the cows before they are sent for slaughtering. It was all alvin's fault then......boo...Argh...i can go on forever, really. When i have the time later on, maybe i should volunteer my service to SPCA . See? Another item to my TO-DO list.
I will be a busy woman if i really want to get all these things done. Why am i still in the europe shift? Liping, please read my blog!
