PAIN is the word
and the pain is not temporary....it is perpetual and stinging, imagine alcohol constanly running down your wound, skin scrapped, yellow secretion, white foam, constant oozing of blood because the cut was too deep such that clotting doest seem to exist.
Ouch, i say or rather, SCREAM!

Yesterday night was bad, i was flipping and turning trying my very best to find the most comfortable position to sleep but the pain jostled me awake every other hour. (*Poor Alvin) I kept moaning, before, during and after the sleep. It was so painful! This is the worst fall i've ever experienced since the netball incident i had when i was in primary school. I didnt remember having to suffer so much from a bad fall and this is so going to leave an awful and nasty scar on my leg.
Early this morning, aunty & uncle brought me to DR. Alan Ho @ Kai Clinic, he is such a gentle doctor, hmmn, i like. He gave me a tetanus jab, pain killers, antibiotics and washing solution to dress my wound. It wasnt that painful during the dressing, yesterday was worst, i screamed and teared so badly while aunty was helping me clean the wound. The whole account can be seen & read from here.
Lucky for them, if not, i might be suffering from infection from this bad fall. I hate to be trapped at home during a non-working Monday. :( I would have love to go down East Coast for a nice & cooling run, or even hop down to the gym for some spinning but now i couldnt even walk properly! Doctor said it will probably take about 8 to 10 days for the wound to heal. :(:(
In case you are wondering, i haven't explain why and how ive fallen in the first place. Here goes;
First round of skating was fun but the knee guard was so restrictive! I felt like i could have moved faster without the guard.
Second round of skating, i decided to take off my guard, immediately, i felt the freedom and the ease at my legs and my wheels could go so fast, the excitment was whopping! While skating, premonition sets in. I was just thinking " What if i fall because im skating faster than i used to" but i dismissed it after a while because i thought i was steady enough to be able to do so.
Minutes later, i fell, face down. Because i was wearing wrist guard, i was consciously trying to control my fall so that i can safely fall on my palm with my knee tilted to the side. But it was just too uncontrollable, too quick and so i ended up scratching my right knee against the ground though the wrist guard still saved me a little. When i fell, i was near fort road then and there was a shelter by the side where a husky owner was sitting and resting. He witnessed my fall and offered me tissue....awwww.....
The skate back was bearable cause i didnt feel the pain (yet) and when i reached the locker area, the shop assistance at inline skate attended and offered his first aid to me even when i didnt rent my blade from them! Awwwww.....They gave me some alcohol dab and flavine solution. Then at the Fu Lin Yong Tau Fu stall beside Siglap centre, the uncle nudged me to his first aid box, gave me a small plaster (quite funny cause my wound is obviously much bigger than the plaster), some bandage to wrap the cut cause blood kept dripping non-stop down my knees as well as some cotton. Awwwww.....the sweetness of strangers, i really appreciate. :)
Nursing at home right now and that's my labour day for you.
